Mommy's Little Helper

For the last few months William tries to help me with everything. Most of the time he gets in the way but I can't complain that he is showing interest in the laundry, the dishes, vacuuming, and deep cleaning. I just hope he has that same enthusiasm for chores when he is old enough to really do them on his own. If only I could get his help with cleaning up his toys. There is no interest there. I'll start to clean up and I'll give him some toys to put in his toy bucket and guess what he does with them? Yes, he plays or he begins unloading the toy bucket. Maybe one day he'll understand what to do. Here is a glimpse at William being my helper:

Kaden started his new job last Monday and this week he has been on his own. He is liking it a lot but since he is still getting in the groove of things, he isn't making as many sales as he'd like. I'm sure in a months time he'll be making the amount of sales he wants. We feel so blessed that he has a job now and with a company that is prospering immensely.

I taught Relief Society on Sunday. It was my second time and although I thought I did a much better job the first lesson, this one went pretty well. I realize that it doesn't matter how wonderful I teach as long as the spirit is present the message will be delivered. My next lesson is about developing our talents. Such a hard one for me because I'm the one that always says that I don't even know what my talents are. Good thing I have two months to really ponder this topic. If you have any suggestions, do tell.

Happy Birthday to Me

Last Saturday was my birthday, the big 2-4. Since I work on Saturdays, we mainly celebrated my birthday on Friday. I had some money stashed for a hair cut so I spent the early afternoon at the salon. I'm not satisfied with my hair currently. It is at that in between length that just doesn't look good no matter what I do. Anyways... back to my birthday, Kaden planned to take our little family to JCPenny for family pictures. William was a gem, he was really into the photographer and smiled every picture. It wasn't until we began looking and selecting pictures that William became super ornery. Here are some of our favorites:
I think we look a little awkward but its still one of my favs!

We didn't want to pay $100 for a disk so that is why these pictures are somewhat pixelated. I am bad, I print screened them from the website and saved them as a JPEG in photoshop. We get the real pictures on the 21st! I'm so excited!! After pictures my Mom watched William while Kaden and I went out for dinner. We went to my favorite restaurant, Macaroni Grill. Yum!!

I managed to get a little bit of scrapbooking done this week too! Hurray for William playing by himself.

New Job

Kaden actually had 3 job offers which was such a blessing since we had the opportunity to pray about which would suit our family best. He is starting Monday at a company called Security Metrics. He is super excited about this job and is getting anxious to start! Pray he does well, I sure am!!!

In other news, William took 3 steps from me to my Mom yesterday. My little baby is growing up so fast, I can't believe it. He has been standing up without holding on to anything and it makes me so happy that soon I'll be watching him walk around the park. We've been going to the park a lot since Kaden has been home and it has been really fun. William loves the slides. I have pictures but I'll have to post them later.

We've had a wonderful week thus far. Like I said before, we feel so very blessed!!

March 1st Videos

Man this kid cracks me up! William has been sick all week but you can't tell by this video. Kaden can't stop laughing whenever he sees it. Maybe because he tells William not to fart on me.

Last week William decided he'd like to rearrange the furniture. He has been pushing anything and everything around since then. He has this plastic activity table that he gets behind and pushes all over the wood floor. When he gets to the rug he continues to push but nothing happens and it makes him SUPER frustrated. I'm enjoying all the new things he is learning.

What you can't see in this next video is William trying to get the vacuum. He has a great fascination with the vacuum and anytime I have it on he just sits there and smiles or he'll try to touch it. I can't help but laugh at how much he likes it, maybe when he is older that will be his chore!

A little bit of this, a little bit of that continued

1/14/2011
Tearing up paper.

2/11/2011
Looking for toys under the TV cabinet.

A little bit of this, a little bit of that

William is obsessed with paper. We've pretty much moved every magazine, book, and loose paper from William's tight grasp. He is the destroyer. I have a video but blogger wouldn't load it and I don't really want my baby on youtube!

I was finally able to sit down at the computer tonight and scrapbook. I only completed one page but one is better than none! William was upstairs watching sports with Daddy. I want to tweek a couple of things but William needs me and who knows when I'll get a chance to, so here you go:

What William has been up to lately

These videos are of William playing with his Christmas toys.

William didn't quite understand this toy but now a days he LOVES throwing the cars in and watching them spin.

Future football player.

William loves music and especially dancing. He is listening for the beat.
I'm so behind but luckily I have Kaden home all week (he quit his job and is still looking for a new one). So hopefully I can gradually catch up on the videos. I wish I could catch up on my scrapbooking but unfortunately that probably will NEVER happen! I have sooo many videos though and I will gradually post them on here because they are definitely worth watching! Just looking at the videos from Christmas, I have realized how much William has learned and grown just in two months! I still can't believe it is March! Craziness!!!
